Q13-"NOT terminated on a punch down work block" mean what?

ANSWER :
Punch Down Tool is used to terminate COPPER WIRE based cable.

For Fiber Optic Cable , we cannot use PUNCH DOWN TOOL

Check your Network+ book to find the diagram of the punch down tool or I will explain to you when I meet you 2morrow .

How it works ?

The tool consists of a handle with a spring mechanism inside and at the tip a small square piece of metal with a square hole in it. To use the punch down tool, a wire is inserted in between the two metal blades on a punch down block and the punch down tool is pressed down on top of the wire and the two blades on the punch down block. This requires a bit of pressure until with an audible snap the wire is stripped and contact made as it is pushed down between the two punch down block blades.

Q17-Which of the following IEEE standards uses a "1300 nm beam"?-"1300 nm beam" mean what?
Drop this Question . Not relevant with Network+

Q22-What is F-Type connector ??

F Type Connector is used for coaxial cable . Cable Modem is using coaxial cable + F type connector

Check your Network+ Book or A+ book under Networking to see F Type Connector

Q23-Which of the following connectors are SFF fiber connectors?

Small form factor connector is MT-RJ and LC . These 2 connectors are smaller than ST & SC Connector .

ST,SC, MT-RJ and LC , all these 4 connectors are used on Fiber Optic Cable . The difference between them are SHAPE & SIZE .

See your Network+ Book for these 4 connector pictures .
