Do we need to set /maxmem=xx in BOOT.INI

If you set maxmem higher than RAM size the setting will be do nothing.
The switch exists primarily for testing purposes. It allows you to test how a computer will operate with less than the installed memory. This is more convenient than physically removing RAM modules. For normal purposes there is no advantage in using the setting.
